Quite a few years ago I went to Walgreens and bought my first set of makeup brushes. As far as I am aware Studio 35 is a Walgreens brand and/or only carried at Walgreens. I bought the Studio 35 brush set. I am pretty sure that I bought a package which included 4 brushes for somewhere between $7.00 and $10.00. The brushes are double sided which to me means that each handle has a brush on both ends of it. For example the brush that I am reviewing today is the brush that has on one side a lip liner brush and on the other side a lip brush. I got four different brushes, but with eight different styles of brushes.
I just tried to go to Walgreens.com to look up this product and even though the style of the brushes are the same with the black handle with silver tips, but the packaging variations have changed. You can still buy 1 brush that is double sided, but all the rest of the packages include 4 individual brushes and one brush set has magnetic changeable brush heads which is actually kind of cool. So you get I brush handle that magnetically clips the different brush heads on to the end of it.
I will be completely honest that I did not use this brush very much. When I first bought it I had no idea what I was doing or how to use it. I never really understood the point of using a brush because I use lip liner pencils and all of my lip glosses had already come with a doe foot applicator that I would just use. I like using this brush for lipsticks because I feel like I do a better job of applying the lipstick with this brush rather than just using the lipstick. I also like it because I get to control how much lipstick color I want. The brush allows for more control of the lipstick product. I have learned to really like it. The nice part is that the lip liner brush can be used on the lipstick as a lip liner. Sometimes I find that it is difficult to match lip liners and lipsticks even from the same lipstick companies. This brush allows you to get the lip liner and lip color to be the same because you can use the same lipstick with the different brushes which is pretty cool.
I am going to say it is safe to assume that these brushes are no longer available for purchase. That may also mean that the quality of the brushes may have changed.

I don't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I do remember thinking that it was quite expensive for brushes, especially for my first set of brushes which means they had to have been around $10.00 for the packaging. For the brand of brushes it does seem a bit high. But $10.00 for 8 brushes is a fairly good deal. I remember I was not thrilled with the packaging options that they had and I can still say that I am not entirely a huge fan of the double sided brushes. It is quite annoying to use. It would be great for traveling where you don't want to pack your expensive brushes or multiple brushes, so the concept is good, but I'm just not a fan. I think it would be better for quick re-application purposes rather than actual application use, if that makes sense. I think that the quality of the actual brushes is good. The bristles are soft enough that it does not feel like they are scratching your face. The bristles are not too stiff so they have some movement to them. I had to knock some points off because I don't feel like these are the best brushes that one can buy and one of the handles one of the brushes fell off when I tried to wash it. The longevity of the actual brushes has been quite a few years. They have gone through many uses, many washes, and many years without the actual bristles being damaged or falling out. The brush tips are somewhat stained from the makeup, but that is expected. I feel that the application of the lip brush eats some of the product a little bit. Instead of spreading the product out, I feel that it spreads and takes away. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it correctly. I am not a big fan of the double sided brushes, at least not for every day use. The lip brush does have a little bit of a fallout because I found a bristle sticking out and when I pulled on it lightly it came out. I think that the bristles feel soft enough to not feel scratchy on the lips, but stiff enough to be durable to apply lipstick. The bristles have a bit of flexibility so that it's not too stiff and it's not too soft which is good. I think that this brush blends good, but I also feel like it doesn't because I think it puts the product on and takes a little bit off. Like when using it with the lip gloss, especially, it takes the moisture out of it so it feels dry and then the brush sticks a little bit when you try to go back over the lips with more product. Overall I really like the idea of the lip liner and lip brush in general because it has a lot of positives such as using a lipstick as a lip liner and as lip color because of the different brushes allow you to do that. Sometimes it hard to find a matching lip liner and lipstick. It gives you the control of how much product you want on your lips and whether you want a little color or a lot of color. It is a great tool. I would probably repurchase if it was available, but I would also look at other companies to see what they have to offer for lip liner and lip brushes.
