E.L.F. (EyesLipsFace) Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

Today I am going to be reviewing the E.L.F. (EyesLipsFace/Eyes.Lips.Face.) Mineral Eyeshadow Primer. I bought this a while back when I was looking for eye shadow primers and I was really into the whole trying E.L.F. products out to review. I paid $3.00 for this product. I actually ended up buying this specific product by mistake. E.L.F. has three different collection lines- their regular products, their Studio products, and their mineral products. For some reason I thought that I was buying the E.L.F. Studio eye shadow primer because I tried their regular eye shadow primer and it was okay. Then when I received my items I realized that it wasn't the product that I intended to purchase because E.L.F. doesn't carry an eye shadow primer in their Studio line. That was a bit disappointing. I personally stay away from mineral because I have found that mineral products don't work well for me. It's just personal preference. The only reason why I haven't thrown it out is because I haven't done a review on it, but I forget that I even have it. I might use it to try to do swatches.

Speaking of swatches, just a side, I know my digital camera is a bit fuzzy on a lot of the pictures, I apologize for that. I am using a digital camera from almost 10 years ago. I really need to upgrade it. It is very difficult to take very up close shots of the product because it won't focus on it. Gr. I might have to take semi-far shots and then just zoom in on them when I post them on here. But you at least get an idea of what the product looks like.

On another note about swatches... I tried the E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer on my hand with the Covergirl Exact Eyes Eyelights Eye Brightening Shadow Palette in #710 Radiant Blues. I did a side by side comparison of the palette colors just on bare skin and over this E.L.F. mineral primer. I noticed that the E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer ended up dimming the brightness of the white pigment, kind of brought out the tan/browny light color, but did bring out the blue and the green a bit more. I felt that it made the eye shadow easier to blend.

Comments: I think that the price of this product is a bit high. It's not worth it to pay extra when you can get the same eye shadow primer for $1 when using the regular E.L.F. line. I feel the regular one does a bit of a better job in longevity. The packaging is normal. It comes with a wand. It's small and compact for easy traveling, but it's not cute. It does have a bit of an odd smell to it, but once applied you can't really smell it. It's a very faint smell. It's like a waxy chemical smell. The way I'm describing this product makes it sound scary, but it's not as bad as I'm describing. It's very faint and once applied to lids you cannot smell it at all. I think you get a decent amount of product, although I think relatively speaking, the price is a bit too high for this product. This eye shadow primer doesn't last. I wouldn't use this eye shadow primer if you are going out for an extended period of time or doing anything physical where you might work up a sweat like dancing. As far as bringing out eye shadow pigment, I would say it's very hit or miss. Some eye shadows it brings out and others it dulls. I think a good eye shadow primer works well or decently well for almost all eye shadows. I cannot say that for this product. The application I would say is fairly evenly. It comes with a wand so it makes for easy application. I would not suggest this product with those who have oily eye lids like me, especially do not use cream shadows and this primer. More than likely, I will not be repurchasing this product.

My First Impression of the Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner with Pump

I ran out of shampoo and conditioner so this past weekend I needed to find some new shampoo and conditioner because I was unhappy with the products I had used and was currently using. Since I am a huge fan of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle I decided to look at some of their shampoo and conditioner products. I found two fairly good sized bottles of a product called Aussie Moist. They were a good price. I decided to buy them to try the product. I really wanted to write about my first impressions of the product because I liked it so much! I bought the shampoo and conditioner separately because it works better with my hair. I cannot use the 2 in 1 stuff. It doesn't have enough conditioner for my hair. Apparently they do have both options, you can either buy the moist product in a 2 in 1 pump bottle or buying them separately. They also have different bottle sizes and with or without pump.

Since this was my first time using the product I decided to use 5 short pumps of each product and put it in my hair. I used 5 short pumps of the shampoo, washed my hair, then I used 5 short pumps of the conditioner. With the conditioner I left it in my hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing it out.

This is the best shampoo and conditioner product I have used that was what would be considered a "drug store" item and it being cheap. From the first use my hair feels soft, it smells good, it feels moisturized, and the best part is that it's not puffy. My hair feels healthy and looks moisturized, but not greasy! This product will save me time in the shower because I had to use the shampoo, wash it off, put in conditioner, then wait a few minutes, and then use the Aussie 3 Minute Conditioner which also took another few minutes. Now I won't have to do that.

Another good thing about this product is that I don't think I will be needing to buy the Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner. I am so shocked by that. With other products, such as the Fructis for dry/damaged hair, I had to also use the Aussie 3 Minute Conditioner with them because they didn't do the job. The Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner did an amazing job. One that I am not used to. I might still buy the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle to keep on hand and use once a month for extra moisture or when I need it for hair emergencies, but I won't have to use it once or twice a week like I had to. I am very excited about that.

I will use this product for a month or two and then write an actual review on it. I just want to use the product some more to make sure it actually works the way I think it does. We will see!
