Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner (separate pump bottles)

Hi everyone!

Wow, I did not realize that I had disappeared for 2 months exactly. I thought it was a lot shorter than that.

Before I stopped posting reviews in this blog, I had just bought the Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner in the separate big pump bottles. I was raving about it because it was the first shampoo and conditioner that I could use just the actual product without my hair looking/feeling dry or puffy. That still holds true today. I have been using it the past two months. I am still really excited about it!

The first week I would say I would have given this product a solid 100% review, but I think that would be unfair since during that first week I was very excited about the product and would have rated it higher than I would now. I still think that it is the best shampoo and conditioner product out there for people who have my hair. As a reminder: I think I damaged my hair almost a year ago when I dyed it because after the first time it came out looking a bit too orange for me so I waited a week and went back in to redye it which I know you are not supposed to do, but there was no way I was going to live with that color for longer than I had to. It definitely did not look cute on me. Anyway, I do think that effected my hair. I used to have super oily hair. Every other day it would get oily. Ever since I did the dye, my hair doesn't get oily. I don't want to say it doesn't get oily because it does, but not the way it used to. Actually, my hair kind of does the opposite where it gets extremely dehydrated every couple of days. It went from super oily to super dehydrated. I also noticed that because my hair went to super dehydrated, that when I wear hair ties, my hair gets tangled a lot easier. A lot of times the reason why I need to put moisturizing products in my hair is because I am trying to get tangles out along with trying to hydrate my hair. It is definitely frustrating.

Just to reiterate how I used the product. I would use 5 pumps of each product, of the shampoo and of the conditioner into my hands. With the shampoo once I felt I did a good job of washing I would rinse out. With the conditioner I would leave it in my hair for a couple of minutes. I didn't just put it in and rinse it out. I did leave the conditioner product in my hair to allow it to soak in.

Just as a fun fact, using this product has cut about 10-15 minutes from my showering time. I went from taking 45+ minute showers with putting tons of product in my hair and having to wait on each before washing it out to a half hour shower. That makes me a very happy girl =-)

I think that's all I really had to say, so let's get started with the review.

Comments: I don't remember exactly how much I spent on it, but according to walmart.com's website it's about $6 for each bottle so about $12 for both shampoo and conditioner. It's a good price compared to some of the other brands that charge a lot more for less product. What I like about this shampoo is that even though it cleans very well it also has a moisturizing feel to it. It's really nice. From the beginning stages of washing the hair it bombards the hair with moisturizing. I didn't think I was going to like it, but I really do, I really like how it cleans and moisturizes at the same time! The smell of the shampoo and conditioner have a fairly strong tropical/sweet smell to it. I would say if not then really close to a coconut smell, especially the conditioner. I took a point off for longevity because once again I don't really do a lot with my hair so I feel that the product should last longer in my hair than 2-3 days. I also don't feel like the product is actually moisturizing my hair when looking at it in long term effects. I hope that makes sense. For example some products when used long term the product builds upon itself to actually repair, but I don't feel that with this product. Just like with the Aussie 3 minute deep miracle conditioner, you definitely have to keep using the product. If I notice that my hair is over time feeling/looking like it is being repaired I will update, but so far I haven't seen that and I don't feel that it's that type of product. This product is perfect for dry/damaged hair, the reason why I had to take a point off is because I didn't feel that the product works to the extent that it does the first week you use it. The over-excitement and the quality of what the product does, does diminish a little bit. I have not had any problems with frizz while using this product! When it comes to de-tangling, this product works very well, but with my hair it needs an outside conditioner in order to fully do the job, so I took a point off for that. Overall, I really like this product, I would definitely recommend it, especially for people who do have dry/damaged hair, and I am definitely going to continue buying until it stops working.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this helps =-)

Sincerely,
Marina
